Good-bye

The day finally came,  the day to say good-bye.  A rainy day in July,  a day to fit the mood.   
We stood in your room,  the walls bare and blue.  Put your charm 'round my neck,  said "it looks better there".   
My tears flowed once more,  you drew me in close  and said "I love you".  I hung on for dear life.   
Later the car pulls in,  the one to take you away.  Your bags packed, it was time,  the final moment arrived.

I WonderDo you ever look back on events in your life and wonder at how they've made you who you are today?  Have you ever wondered about simple things and the ramifications of changing them?  Do you ever think that a simple decision today which is meaningless now may be the difference between life and death tomorrow?
